so..
i never considered myself to be done with school even after i graduated this past december.. and recently i’ve been seeing more statuses on facebook that goes something like “DONE WITH UCI!!!!” or “DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!!” or something of that sort. and while it is exciting to be done with undergrad, i don’t feel that excitement. i think that because i graduated in the middle of the school year, i didn’t even consider myself as a graduate because 1. i still live in irvine (hence, school), 2. i still take community college classes, and 3. i haven’t walked yet. and now, i have 2 part time jobs and i work 60 hours a week and i still don’t even consider myself to be done with school. i remember when i was younger, i thought i would have it all by the time i was 21. i’d be a full-grown adult, independent, working, doing big things, and have a bunch of goals accomplished.
and now i’m 21, working myself to death trying to figure out what i want for my future, still dependent on my parents for basic necessities (money), and the only thing i feel accomplished as a 21-year old is taking a trip to vegas. and i didn’t even live it up that well when i went.
but that’s going to change this year. goodbye to laziness and complaining. i’m probably going to do more things this year than i’ve done in my entire life.
so here’s to living it up.
